It was subsequently purchased by the group of bars and clubs owned by the Capital Bars Group and today it is owned by the Mercantile Entertainment Group who own several venues around the city including the popular music venue, Whelans. For a foreigner it may seem intimidating but if you start here and get a few drinks in you, you'll be okay to brave the rest of the area. The bartenders were cute. Drinks were reasonably priced and the navy boys and ex-pats are all here on the weekends.
